The past week has seen a positive surge of activity within our Music Department. Our inaugural ‘Mini Music Tour’ took place on Monday 30 May featuring both our Chamber and College Choirs, Beginner Concert Band, and instrumental/vocal soloists performing within the wider community. It was a privilege performing at St. George Preca Catholic Primary school, Emmaus Catholic Primary School, and CS Square. This mini tour was a fantastic opportunity for all students involved and allowed them to create positive relationships with their peers while sharing their love of music.

My part in the tour was to sing as a Soprano in the Chamber Choir. I enjoyed the experience a-lot because I’m very passionate about singing and to finally experience going on tour and singing in front of an unknown crowd was an exciting experience. I hope to take this on again and build my confidence throughout my singing journey.

I am in the Beginner Concert Band, and the instrument I play is the Clarinet. I enjoyed playing Sweet Home Chicago, I got nervous but as soon as I played, I got used to it and enjoyed it.
Ivan.K (Year 8)

I was part of Chamber Choir. What I enjoyed about the Mini Music Tour was performing to the public at CS Square. It was different and enjoyable because it was a crowd that we never really perform to. I also enjoyed singing with my friends.
