After a long break from practical work, our students have hit the ground running with some amazing handmade wooden products.
Our woodwork students were tasked with making a device holder that can hold a multimedia device used on a regular basis and the results were amazing. In a short time, students were able to research, design and produce device holders which fit their device specifications as well as making informed design decisions on how to accommodate for any peripherals.
Our year 8 materials students were able to design chopping boards which were handmade and completed using natural finishes.
Ms Mackay and I are so proud of our students. They have set the bar high for all future Materials and Woodwork classes and pictures of their completed work will be used to inspire the next group of students that take the subject.
