In Term 1, the Social Justice team focused on the fruits of the CRCCS, the gifts and talent of our community were put on display for all to see. Our tree stood firm and bold, but it was now time for us to celebrate the risen Lord, encouraging our community to be ‘Lit in the Lord’, just as the disciple were.
Pentecost always occurs 50 days after the death and resurrection of Jesus, and 10 days after His ascension into heaven. As Easter is a feast without a fixed date, Pentecost depends on the timing of Easter. On this day, we welcomed the CRCCS community at the gate, inviting them to mark their flame with their names, as we celebrate this wonderful occasion of Pentecost, allowing the Holy Spirit to light the lives of our community members.
At times Pentecost may be slightly overlooked. However, it plays a fundamental role in our Christian lives. Pentecost teaches us that we need the Holy Spirit to cleanse our hearts and allow us to start afresh, we need the direction it provides, and we need each other.
Open your hearts and allow the Lord to enlighten your lives, so that you are “LIT in the LORD”
