Catholic Regional College Caroline Springs is proud of the range of opportunities in Instrumental Music, Band and Choirs on offer in 2022. We encourage families to consider the unique opportunities that learning an instrument provides to students’ social, emotional and musical development.

Instrumental Music Lessons are delivered at the College through the course of a normal school day on a rotating basis. Students will have an opportunity to try a range of instruments at the start of the term. Enrolment forms are available from the Reception.

The following instruments are available in 2022:

Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Percussion/Drums, Piano, Voice and Rock Drum Kit

Lesson and Instrument hire charges are as outlined below, families will receive an invoice directly from the Instrumental Music Teacher. The initial enrolment is based on a semester made up of 16 lessons; a minimum of two weeks’ notice in writing is required to cease lessons, via email to music@crccs.vic.edu.au by week 8 of a 10-week term.

Group lessons are available for all instruments (except for Piano, Voice and Rock Drum Kit). It’s recommended that new students selecting Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone and Percussion/Drums start in 30-minute group lessons.

Instruments can be hired through the College at competitive rates; hire is based on a semester charge. Parents/Carers hiring an instrument will receive a hire agreement with all terms and conditions, which will need to be completed prior to the instrument being released to the student. We are unable to hire Keyboards, Guitars or Drum Kits.

Part of the joy of learning an instrument is to participate is an ensemble. The following groups rehearse throughout the year and perform regularly at public and school events both on and off campus.
